At first I wasn’t involved in the musical very much. This is because I was away in Australia for a large portion of the rehearsals. I returned two weeks before performances were due to go on stage. I started to help out with props a little and I watched the dances at first. As this went on I decided I wanted to get more involved.
I realised I wasn’t on stage at all. This motivated me to learn one of the dances for the play. I learned the dance to the song “What You Want.” This took a small bit of time but soon enough it came to me. I enjoyed the process of learning this dance it was fun once I got the hang of it. When the day of the first show came I felt ready and despite being quite nervous I felt like it all went smoothly. This continued as we did more performances and I learnt something after each performance. Overall I feel like it was a greatly valuable experience which I benefited very much from. I think that everyone enjoyed it immensely.

I have a lot of expectations for 4th year and I have many things I would like to do. These expectations are all to do with things like gaisce, school trips, extra curricular activities and work experience. They have set me goals that I wish to achieve throughout the year. One of my expectations for this year is to receive my gaisce award. This involves 13 weeks of activities for at least one hour a week for 13 weeks. For these activities I am getting involved in helping disabled people in Bray Lakers, I am taking up new personal skills and I am doing physical activities such as hiking. By the end of the year I hope to complete the Gaisce Award and receive the bronze medal. This year I am expecting to take part in all the school trips during the year. I have already gone on the camping trip with my school. I am also looking foward to travelling to Africa in late October to climb Mount Kilimanjaro. Later on in the year im expecting to go with my school on the Spanish trip to walk the Camino. The extra curricular work that I expect to partake in is all organised by the school. They gave us a list of courses to do that were all optional and out of those i chose steer clear which is a driving course, public access to law which teaches us about the law system and the first aid course. The work experience that I am hoping to achieve this year is mandatory in our school. We have to do at least two weeks of experience in a job and at least one week as community service. I have organised to work in a law firm and a hospital for the 2 weeks as a job and I have organised to work with people with disabilities for my week of community service. I am also expecting by the end of 4th year to have a better idea of the carrer path I want to follow in the future. I expect that my work experience, school trips, and Gaisce Awards will help me find this idea and also to help fullfill my expectations for 4th year. |
